Plastic greenhouses
Plastic greenhouses are made of polycarbonate (PC) material. Plastic is less expensive than glass, easier to install and lighter. However, if you have a large budget and are having your greenhouse installed for you glass may make more sense.
The polycarbonate material in the plastic greenhouse wears out faster than glass and is easier to scratch. You can buy double and triple-glazed PC which is impact resistant. This is not much more expensive
If you're considering a plastic greenhouse, consider your environment as well. Plastic is advantageous if you have a lot of wind. If something falls on a glass greenhouse during the windstorm it is much more likely to break.
